An Inside Look At the Houston Astros’ World Series Championship Ring
The Houston Astros World Championship ring has been revealed, and the Jostens design features plenty of natural diamonds. To celebrate the franchise’s second World Series win, the ring features intricate and symbolic details to tell the story of their path to victory.
The ring top features custom-cut orange sapphires and 11 baguette natural diamonds to create the iconic Astros “H” logo. The 11 baguette diamonds represent the team’s five AL West Division titles, four AL pennants, and two World Series victories during this most recent Astros era.

The 14-karat yellow gold border of the Astros star is set with 71 round natural diamonds, representing the 71 strikeouts—a new MLB record!—by Astros pitchers in the World Series. 117 natural diamonds surround the logo, symbolic of the Astros’ combined regular and postseason wins.
The number 42 also holds a lot of significance for the team: It took 42 years for the Astros to come back from a heartbreaking loss to the Phillies in the NLCS finals; Astros manager Dusty Baker won his first World Series with the team after 42 postseason games; this 2022 season was the 75th anniversary of baseball legend Jackie Robinson’s historic MLB debut and his number, “42” is retired across baseball. To honor this number, there are 42 round blue sapphires encircling the diamonds and the logo on the ring.
And the symbolism doesn’t stop there. The 22 emerald-cut natural diamonds set on the sides of the ring top are a nod to the 22 runs scored by the Astros in the World Series. The ring top is set with 60 round natural diamonds, representing the 2022 season, the 60th year of the Astros franchise history.
The left side of the ring features the player’s name and jersey number, with each jersey number created in 14-karat yellow gold and set with natural diamonds. Minute Maid Park, the Astros’ home turf is in the background on the left side.
On the right side, the championship year date, 2022, is set with 29 natural diamonds. The Commissioner’s Trophy is accented with one natural diamond, representing the Astros’ first World Series win in their home city of Houston. Six more diamonds are set in the Trophy’s base, a nod to the Astros’ six straight ALCS appearances. Two sapphire stars, one orange and one blue, anchor either side of the Trophy and represent the two World Series wins in Astros history.
An additional 298 round diamonds cascade from the ring top, down the sides to the palm where the words LEVELED UP are featured, the team’s 2022 mantra. With the entire ring weighing 15.3 carats of gemstones, including natural diamonds, this ring certainly represents that LEVELED UP feeling.
