The 11 Best Diamond Jewels Ever Worn at the SAG Awards
The Screen Actors Guild Awards are one of the final key events before the Oscars. In the not too distant past, the show was held on a Saturday evening and practically flew under the radar.
But when the broadcast moved to primetime on Sunday nights a couple of years ago, it started to become as glamorous as other important awards—which translates to a lot more diamond jewelry. And we love every glittering second of it.
Not to mention, the SAG Awards have also become pretty entertaining. Just think back to last year when Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt both won, gave great speeches and broke the internet when they greeted each other backstage.
Like every awards show in this coronavirus era, the 2021 SAG Awards will assume a different format. Short and sweet, the event, which airs on Sunday, April 4 at 9 p.m. ET on TNT, will be pre-taped and only one hour long. As the winners of its thirteen categories are announced, the stars will chime in via Zoom. And while there unfortunately won’t be a red carpet, we’re still routing for a show of remote glitz as exciting as previous awards shows during this unusual season presented.
In preparation for the event, take a look back at the best diamond jewelry worn at the SAG Awards.

She wore them breezily, tossing them on alongside all of her everyday gold and diamond, huggies and studs.

Charlize Theron in Tiffany, 2020
At the end of a long awards season, the SAG Awards are known for drawing stars to have some fun and push the creative envelope with their style. Charlize Theron was the perfect example of this phenomenon in 2020. Along with diamond pendant earrings, in her hair part, she wore a Tiffany & Co. diamond bracelet. How the jewel remained secure on her head is a mystery to this day.
Michelle Williams in Forevermark, 2020
At the 2020 SAG Awards, Michelle Williams (who was pregnant at the time) also wore diamonds in her hair, this time in the form of an eye-catching Forevermark diamond feather brooch. The effect was truly standout given her short platinum blonde bob.
