Final 2022 Oscar Predictions: Diamond Jewelry We Think The Stars Will Wear
Awards Season comes to a crescendo this Sunday night with the 94th Academy Awards, and 2022 Oscar predictions about who will walk away with a trophy are in full swing. We can’t wait for the red carpet and mega glamour not to mention the Beyoncé performance that is rumored to be going down.
In anticipation of the big show and the spirit of an Oscar ballot, I have made some predictions on what diamond jewelry the stars will wear.
The event is going to be jam packed with actors from the films as well as those who have made a big splash in Hollywood during the last year. I zeroed in on the women who are known for wearing big time baubles and others who I think might get iced out because it is the moment to do it.
2022 Oscar Predictions: Diamond Jewelry Edition
Lady Gaga
In 2019 Lady Gaga won the Oscar in the Best Original Song category for “Shallow” from A Star Is Born. She lived up to that big occasion by wearing the historic 128.54-carat Tiffany Diamond. The gem is literally a national treasure and Gaga, nor anyone else, will ever top it.
This year the House of Gucci star is a presenter as opposed to a nominee, but for my 2022 Oscar predictions, she will still turn up on the red carpet in something seriously dazzling from Tiffany.
Beyoncé
Queen Bey is nominated for her first Oscar ever in the Best Original Song category for “Be Alive” from King Richard. Just the rumor that she might perform took over the entertainment news cycle for 24-hours. Beyoncé most likely won’t, however, walk the red carpet. She gave up that practice years ago. She usually just shows up in the audience at awards shows.
What jewelry will she wear when she takes her seat? For my Oscar prediction, I believe it will be big diamonds by Lorraine Schwartz. I know she has been in Tiffany’s worldwide ad campaign but she hasn’t stopped wearing her friend Lorraine Schwartz’s jewels to events. So that’s my prediction and I’m sticking to it.
Jessica Chastain
Since Jessica Chastain won the SAG Award for the title role in The Eyes of Tammy Faye last month, she has become the odds-on favorite to win the Best Actress prize at the Oscars. I believe she will wear a bold statement jewel befitting the event because she has a long track record of wearing spectacular things.
But she has not stuck with one jewelry designer on the red carpet throughout the promotion of the film and other projects in the last nine months. If I have to guess—and I do that’s the point of this story– my 2022 Oscar predictions for her is that she will wear Chopard. One of her best looks in the last year was a Chopard diamond necklace she wore during the Venice Film Festival.
Nicole Kidman
This one is easy. Nicole Kidman, who is nominated in the Best Actress category for her role as Lucille Ball in Being the Riccardos, will wear diamond jewelry by Harry Winston. She has sparkled in Winston diamond jewelry for years on the red carpet and all throughout this Awards Season.
Since the occasion is such a big deal, I am hoping there is a really special Winston jewel for Nicole to sport at the show.
Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart, who is nominated in the Best Actress category for her depiction of Princess Diana in Spencer, has been a longtime ambassador for Chanel and often wears a little Camelia ring and watch from the collection.
I suspect for the Oscars she might choose more of a Chanel statement diamond jewel. It won’t be statement in scale like Lady Gaga, but statement for Kristen Stewart. She wore a Chanel diamond choker when Spencer launched at the Venice Film Festival. A visible jewel at the Oscars would put an exclamation point on her part in the production.
Kirsten Dunst
For the majority of her red-carpet appearances promoting the Oscar nominated film, The Power of the Dog, Kristen Dunst has worn vintage jewelry from Fred Leighton. In fact, you can trace her love of the New York jewelry emporium back well-over a decade.
I am sure all the big houses are reaching out to try and bejewel the star who is nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category, but the odds are in Leighton’s favor.
Tracee Ellis Ross
Tracee Ellis Ross, who officially announced the Oscar nominees in February, will be a presenter at the Awards. I have no doubt Tracee will be in Tiffany diamond jewelry because she is an ambassador of the brand. And I think it will be something really special because, as far as I can tell, this is the first time she is attending the Oscars.
Zoë Kravitz
The last time Zoë Kravitz attended the Oscars was in 2010 when she joined her father Lenny on the red carpet. This year she is arriving as a full-fledged movie star and presenter. She will undoubtedly be turning up the style heat.
In terms of the Oscar predictions for her jewelry look, Zoë Kravitz is a big fan of the London based jewelry designer Jessica McCormack. She also loves Lorraine Schwartz’s dazzling creations. I suspect she will choose something from one of the two.
