Timothee Chalamet Loves Natural Diamonds and Hates Shirts
Timothee Chalamet is many things. A born and raised New Yorker, an Oscar nominee, a two-time SNL host, the current boyfriend to Kylie Jenner, and a natural diamond lover. His latest film, Wonka, premieres this month, and he also secured a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in Musical or Comedy. All around the world, especially as of late, Timothee has graced red carpets with a sense of style and effortlessly chic diamonds–from Cartier to be exact. It brings me great pleasure to present to you, Timothee’s best diamond moments.
Wonka Press Tour
In Tokyo, the Wonka actor stepped out in a candy-like lavender Prada ensemble accompanied by an assortment of Cartier natural diamonds. Timotheé wore an epic 7.88-carat baguette-cut diamond necklace from the Reflection de Cartier collection accompanied by some Cartier diamond rings.
In London, Timmy went for a classic, and expertly tailored, pinstripe suit from Alexander McQueen. Not an undershirt in sight. To accentuate his look, he added a Panthère de Cartier diamond ring in addition to the similar rings he wore in Tokyo from Broderie de Cartier collection.
The Oscars 2022
Another red carpet, another shirtless moment for Timmy, at the Oscars no less. His look for the 2022 Academy Awards included minimal skin and a lot of natural diamonds. The standout piece–Cartier’s Panthere de Cartier necklace. To make sure his necklace wasn’t lonely, he paired a classic tennis necklace and an abundance of diamond rings to really add some sparkle to this look.
Dune Press Tour
Timotheé kept it cool with an Alexander McQueen suit with zipper details and a Clash de Cartier bracelet and matching ring for the premiere of Dune in London. He completed the look with another classic tennis necklace layered with a dog-tag style pendant.
Cannes Film Festival 2021
For the Cannes Film Festival, Timmy kept things casual in an all-black ensemble from Haider Ackerman, until it came to the accessories. Though minimal, he unexpectedly wore a vintage Cartier brooch through the cuff of his sleeve, and of course, added two classic diamond and black ceramic Cartier rings.
Venice Film Festival 2021
We have established Timmy’s ultra laid-back style on the red carpets, but what we must discuss now is his vintage brooches. He wore a vintage 1913 diamond Cartier pin alongside a vintage 1990s Cartier brooch of a smoky quartz beetle (very Dune of him) with white gold and diamond detailing for the Venice Film Festival promoting Dune.
British Vogue x Cartier 2022
Continuing with the brooches, for the British Vogue x Cartier party at the Venice Film Festival Timotheé wore a Cartier Pantheré Brooch accompanied by a Pantheré ring in addition to well as a classic Love ring. So dashing.
Met Gala 2021
One of his best diamond moments comes from the 2021 Met Gala, where he wore two vintage 1920s Cartier brooches, made of platinum and diamonds, on the waistband and pocket of his Rick Own pants. He added a Cartier diamond ring to tie it all together.
Oscars 2020
Another brooch moment can’t hurt, right? Timotheé was a presenter at the 2020 Oscars, while also celebrating Little Women’s nomination for Best Picture. He wore a Prada zip-up jacket and a 1955 vintage platinum, diamond, and ruby Cartier brooch for the 92 Academy Awards.
