Louis Vuitton Masters Subtle Elegance with New Empreinte Fine Jewelry Collection
The collection pays tribute to Louis Vuitton’s history with timeless pieces featuring natural diamonds.
The natural diamond jewelry in the new Louis Vuitton Empreinte Fine Jewelry collection—which just launched today–are both a testament to the Maison’s rich history and a glimpse into what’s next for the beloved brand. Versatile, subtle and timeless, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Jewelry and Watches Francesca Amfitheatrof drew inspiration from the nails used on heritage House trunks for the collection, which was first designed in 2004.
Designed to be genderless, the pieces in the collection feature Louis Vuitton’s instantly recognizable emblems, with LV initials etched on ear cuffs and fixed atop rose, yellow and white gold rings and bangles. Also present is the openworked, four-petal Mongram Flower motif, which graces pendants, hoops, studs and chain bracelets. Empreinte follows the unveiling of LV Diamonds, a collection of diamond jewelry that reimagines and modernizes jewelry essentials and wardrobe staples.
Bringing the past into the present is at the heart of the collection, with Amfitheatrof incorporating the LV logo first created by Georges Vuitton in 1896 into collectible pieces designed to be worn on their own or stacked and layered in endless combinations.
Diamond pieces in the collection range from the $1,940 Empreinte bracelet, which features an 18-karat rose gold Monogram Flower set with four diamonds on a black cord, to the $49,500 white gold Empreinte Bangle complete with 497 diamonds totaling 4.4 carats. Other stand out pieces featuring natural diamonds include the Transformable Sautoir that can be worn as a necklace or multi-row bracelet, the sculptural Empreinte hoop earring encrusted with 10 pavé diamonds, and the double diamond-cut chain bracelet in white gold featuring 24 diamonds.
